Tustin, CA is a city rich in sporting history. From the early beginnings of baseball to modernday sports, Tustin has played a significant role in shaping Californias sports culture.

One of the most famous events that took place in Tustin was the 1939 National Baseball Congress World Series. Teams from all over America came together to compete for one of the biggest prizes in amateur baseball at Wintersburg Field (2000 San Juan St, Tustin, CA 92780). The field is still standing today as part of Heritage Park.

Another significant event was when Olympic gold medalist Sammy Lee trained at the Naval Air Station blimp hangar pool during World War II. He would go on to win two diving gold medals at both London and Helsinki Olympics.
