Discover the Best Places for Outdoor Workouts in St. George, UT

As an avid athlete and explorer, I have traveled to many places around the world to pursue my passion for exercise. However, few destinations can compare to St. George, Utah when it comes to combining a challenging workout with breathtaking natural scenery and warm hospitality.

St. George is located in southwestern Utah and surrounded by stunning red rock formations that provide countless opportunities for outdoor recreation. Whether youre into hiking, climbing, biking or water sports, there are plenty of options available here.

One of my favorite spots for a rugged hike is Angels Landing (Zion Canyon Scenic Dr., Springdale). The trailhead starts at Zion National Parks Grotto Picnic area and leads up steep switchbacks before arriving at a narrow ridge with dramatic dropoffs on both sides. Its not recommended if youre afraid of heights but makes for an incredible workout with views that will leave you speechless.

For those who prefer something less intense but equally aweinspiring trek than Emerald Pools Trail (Zion Canyon Scenic Dr., Springdale) is perfect as it follows along three enchanting pools fed by cascading waterfalls.

If climbing is more your speed then head out over to Pioneer Park which offers several routes ranging from beginner level up through advanced levels(Yuma Way off Red Hills Parkway).

Of course one cannot forget about kayaking or paddleboarding on Sand Hollow Reservoir(Known as Southern Utahs best kept secret). With its crystal clear water reflecting the deep blue sky Sand Mountain in the background exuding vibes full of adventure(BTW they rent all kinds of watercrafts right next door).

Lastly what would be better other than Mountain Biking? Gooseberry Mesa(Southwest End Of Ut59), regarded as one of Americas premiere mountain bike trails offering scenic landscapes throughout entire ride(Feeling like being on Mars while biking), combined with intense challenges and adrenalin pumping excitement.

St. Georges sunny weather and friendly locals make it a great destination for outdoor workouts yearround. Just remember to bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and respect the environment around you.

In summary, St. George is one of the best places in America to exercise due to its stunning natural setting coupled with wellmaintained trails made by experts specifically designed for various levels of expertise among athletes looking for adventure( not to mention taking those Instagram worthy shots). So whether youre looking for an intense workout or just want to take in some fresh air while exploring nature, St. George has something that will meet your needs.
